Once again a politician has made the choice to do what every politician has done at the end of every conflict we have ever been involved in. “Let’s cut the Military”. I am beyond surprised to see this, (NOT) just as I will not be surprise when we once again need the military to find that we MUST increase we spending, ask for more citizens to enlist and pay them more for the service.

After the Civil War, huge cut in Military Personnel. After WW I, huge cut back in spending and personnel, the same scramble to get people and equipment to get into WW II, Korea and the hit list goes on and on. The only politician that increased the personnel and equipment without a major conflict going on was Reagan, and he was blasted for it with screams of debt increases.

This is why it is so important to read, understand and learn from History. How many times do politicians have to get slapped in the face with a cold dead fish before you learn to duck? Just on the easiest level to understand you have to spend a lot to catch back up it is going to cost you much more to replace what you let go, just because the price of things always increases.

Now if you voted for Obama and this surprises you, do the Country a favor and stay home this year. Because he told you that he was going to gut the Military. Just like he told you he was going to sell the victory in Iraq down the tube. Just because he believed it was the “wrong war”. He also told you he was going to give up on the Afghans and he’s working on that right now by bringing home large amounts of troops and plans to have most of them out before you vote again.

He also told you he was going to screw up our medical system, make it and everyone more dependent on Government, (though he didn’t tell you it was going to increase the cost of service although a look at history would have told you that). Leaving out the dozen or so other “accomplishments”, most of which are unpopular, that he told you were going to be on his plate, yet you were all for “Hope & Change”. I’d like to think that the majority of the Country have that hope and change now, they Hope that we will change who will be sitting in the White House after the next election.

I’m sorry to report that I don’t have that kind of faith in the American Voter. Anyone who thinks he can by-pass the Congress and the Constitution and make recess appointments while the Congress is still in technical session, (this after pulling the same stunt on GW Bush), and then ignore it and /or laugh it off, in my opinion is below contempt. Yet RCP polls show that the President still has a 46% approval rating.

I have to wonder what is wrong with American’s. I do, really, think that we as a people, a Nation, have simply lost what we had and it all started with the Progressive movement. And we as a Nation have been losing the war ever since. This election isn’t the start of a new offensive not will it turn back that movement, that isn’t as easy as it should be. The Progressives didn’t get where they are overnight, nor will the damage they inflected be undone in one election.

But, if I suspect will happen this election the change will not even get to start. At this point of the election cycle, as painful as it is to say, there are enough useful Obots out there, those who pay no attention, or don’t understand the Constitution to understand what is happening here. As of right now, I see Obama getting another term in which he can continue to ignore the Constitution and turn us into something other than what the Founders dreamed we’d be.

Between the media, people like Paul Krugman who actually posted that the Government didn’t need to repay its debt, just make interest payments until revenue’s caught up, and Obama thinking we can spend our way out of anything, we can pretty much get ready to jump into the ash heap of history along with the short-lived democracies that highlight the pages of history.

I think many Americans would agree that there is something wrong, a fundamental shift in this Country that is contrary to the foundation and of the Constitution along with the way we look at it.

Let’s look at a couple of examples of a few news story’s:

Recently Walter Reed Hospital forbid the bringing of Bibles to wounded soldiers. This was recently recanted and dropped as soon as some members of Congress heard about it, but none the less was able to be suggested.

A chapel in Iraq was made to remove a cross from its building.

Has History been so poorly taught in our schools that people forgot that the reason the first settlers came to this Country was because of Religious freedom? Certain groups and Courts have so warped what the Founders defined in the First Amendment that the original meaning has been lost. Here is the proper wording of that Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

So even a casual look says that the Federal Government, (and by extension the State’s) cannot pass a law saying we all must be Catholic. What it does not say is that you can’t have a nativity scene in your front yard or in a Federal Park. Nor does it say that we can’t have “In God We Trust” on our money. What it says is you can’t pass a law.

But it also says something else, the Federal, (or State ) Government cannot forbid you from exercising your expression of your faith. So if a Football team wishes to pray before a game, they can’t tell them no you can’t. If the team wants to do it before a game, they can’t stop those who wish to from doing so. What it doesn’t say that if you don’t believe in God that you have the right to stop others from expressing their belief.

No reading of those simple words indicates that any individual in this Country has a Freedom FROM religion.

In other words a display of any religion on Federal or State Property is NOT a Law thus DOES NOT violate the First Amendment in any way shape or form unless a LAW is passed forbidding the showing of a specific religion’s display. The Amendment says nothing about showing a preference for a religion, just passing laws establishing one.

Human’s are such flawed creatures that should we forget that we have to answer to something other or a power higher than ourselves we become wretched wardens of our own. I believe that, as John Adams said; “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” should quiet those who feel faith has no role in government in this Country.

Another loss in our understanding of History is a cause for the Revolution was taxes. Yet we are deadlocked in Congress over raising taxes on a minority of the population, who in fact, already pay the majority of the taxes while almost a majority of the population pays nothing. How does a plain thinking person come away with a policy like that as being fair or square that with equal protection under the law?

In the early days of the Country it was felt that only land owners should have the right to vote. The thinking was that if you had no stock to protect you had no dog in the fight. In other words when you have nothing to lose you will most likely vote to take from others. Thus this is how our politicians work today. They prey on those who have and give it to those who do not. Both parties do it, it’s just a matter of where the money comes from.

Dems tend to take from the “rich” and plead that it’s only fair since the rich have so much more. The GOP tends to try and rev up revenue so they can spend more in their home district. Both end up butting in to the every day life of Americans, and mostly where it’s not wanted.

Every American should have a horse in the race. Just for their own sake they should, but more often than not now they are voting to receive something for nothing or for who offers them the most goodies. If it were their tax money being used in such a wasteful manner, if they felt the pain of having to fork over 30% of their income perhaps they would be more concerned with waste in Government.

In the words of JFK; “Ask not what your Country can do for you….“

It’s pretty hard not to notice the difference in coverage in the press between the Dems and the GOP. Take this recent debacle with Herman Cain. When Clinton got up in front of America, (remember that the Washington Post sat on the story until AFTER the election) with an intern and outright lied about the relationship, it was “just about sex”.

While now the press is offering up all sorts of allegations with, as far as we know, no real evidence. The press also played down many of the charges against Clinton from years past, yet this so-called crisis occurred almost 20 years ago. Seems that there is no shelf life for anything involving the GOP.

Just take the article on RCP by Eugene Robinson, who writes for the Washpost. This nonsense put forth, as noted above by the paper who hid allegations against Clinton. Can you say hypocrites?

I want to know who dug this up. Come forward and support the allegation with information not vague innuendo.

I also notice that there is no outrage over the Executive Orders Obama is signing at a great rate to by-pass Congress. Bush was hammered for far fewer EOs. The President says “we can no longer wait for Congress to do their job“. I wonder why no one points out that he COULD wait for 2 years when the Dems controlled both Houses of Congress AND the White House.

Let’s face facts here. This is nothing more than a way to make it look like he is doing something, (which nothing he has or intends to sign will do anything to help jobs or the economy), so he can get on AF1 or his Canadian made bus to campaign for reelection on the taxpayers dime. The Administration will play this as a support tour any time he goes out to campaign, ,,,,, uh I mean speak.

Speaking of far left fruitcakes, let’s look at this piece of lunacy. I’ll skip over the moronic intro and delve into the rest of the stupidity, that is called A new declaration of independence you should of course read it first. Go ahead I’ll wait.

“1. Debt relief
Total household debt in America is $13.3 trillion — 114 percent of after-tax income. That millions of working Americans owe every penny they make to hugely profitable financial institutions is absurd and grotesque.”

So somehow stupid people who can’t add and figure out something as simple as not spending more than they make or are likely to make is my problem? Not in this Country it shouldn’t be.

“2. A substantial jobs program
Most American cities are filled with beautiful old buildings and monuments and parks dating back to the recovery programs of the New Deal, as well as increasingly decrepit bridges and roads and structures that have been neglected by the last couple of decades of shrinking infrastructure investment. A real, direct jobs program, done in the WPA style, would rebuild our cities and towns in addition to putting thousands of people back to work.“

OK Einstein, let me get this straight, you want us to pay/forgive trillions in debt for college students and graduates so they can get jobs building roads and bridges? Aren’t you the same morons who say that this type of work is why we should allow illegals in the Country because these are jobs Americans wont take?

That’s a rhetorical question, we all know the answer is yes.

“3. A healthcare public option
Medicare is probably the single most popular government program in the country, which is no surprise, because government-subsidized healthcare tends to be the most popular government program in every nation that has implemented it.”

And the Affordable Care Program has caused the cost increase and every Country that has the single payer healthcare is up to its eyeballs in unplayable debt. You guys should go back and read what happened to the cost of healthcare in just 4 years after LBJ passed medicare and Medicaid in the 60′s.

There is so much more. This on caught my eye though; “9. Full equality for the queer community” . I just shudder at what the left would be saying had a conservative had used a phrase that way.

In closing I want to say that if you read the comments of the article and you should read it because it will send chills down you spine. The gap between understanding the nature and meaning of the Constitution and what a Republic is should scare the chit out of you. These people making comments are of the same political knowledge and informed about as well as the Occupy Wall Street crowd, which is to say not at all.

Liberals, Progressives and Socialist all seem to have the same problem. Actually they have a number of them but one special problem is they all wrongly believe that the Right is regressive by nature. The problem with this kind of thinking is it is wrong on so many levels. The real oppressors, the regressive thinkers ARE the Liberals, Progressives and Socialist.

Every program these people put forth, be it Social Security or Medicare/Medicade or any other of the numerous social programs enacted imprison the paycheck of every tax paying American. The cost of keeping these programs hamper the individuals, the working individuals ability to advance their life and their freedom from the control of the Federal Government.

Article on Salon start’s with the claim how they alone are the ones who are tolerant and pushing forward on equality and equal opportunity. Yet every single one of their policies steal property from the private individual and directly discriminates against one group of people or another.

Also the claim that such people on the Right would like to return to the 1920′s. Truth is ANY good Conservative should be looking to return further back than that, like to the actual meaning of the ideals of the Constitution. That is not regressive, it is the reality of what the Founders determined the direction of this Republic should be. Anything else is a design to destroy the very fabric on which this Republic was built.

On his “Tax payer funded It’s not a campaign tour”, President Obama made this statement; ” One of those ideas is believing America is “a place where every child, no matter what they look like, where they come from, should have a chance to succeed.” So in his mind crippling National Debt, high taxes and a staggering number of EPA Regulations to hamper business is the way to accomplish recovery and since the GOP has a different opinion, they, in his mind, are against equality and such.

If that isn’t campaign mode Obama I don’t know what is. We want a refund of our tax dollars.

Still trying to portray Obama as a great President Salon goes on and list a number of the great successes of the President. Problem is none of those work or have had the backing of the American people. Healthcare is the most obvious, never having majority support and having to be shoved through Congress under “special” procedures under the table dealings.

Fact is that this $1T spent by this Administration has done nothing to help no matter how much you try and sugar coat it. Fact is we were better off spending wise under Bush because in 2007 we were only spending $161B over revenue. It’s unconscionable to continue down this road by trying to again spend our way out of this problem.

An idea is being floated about that Obamacare could be over-turned by using budget-reconciliation process. Democrats of course say that this isn’t the proper use of the tactic, it is for budget items. Guess what, that is how the bill was pretty much passed in the first place. So logic would dictate that if you can pass the bill with the budget-reconciliation process it would stand to reason you could over-turn the Law with the same procedure. Determining otherwise is moronic at best.

Do you need proof that Herman Cain has arrived on the Left’s radar? Then you should read the Times piece and the many slams against Mr Cain. Even Clarence Page fellow Afro-American is tossing racial slams against Mr Cain.

While the left is very happy wasting our money on loony ideas and social change, thy don’t waste time on those on the right they don’t have a concern about. Just food for thought.

Seems like every election cycle liberal’s deny the fact that there are areas, mostly blue states, that have problems with keeping the voting for President and elective officials honest. Illegals, the dead, earlier voting, (with another vote at the polls), are common place. Just no one wants to investigate.

Eric Holder ignores the video evidence of New Black Panther’s blocking an entrance to non-Obama supporters but wants to investigate states who want voters be able to identify that they are who they say they are. He wants to look into removing felons from the voting rolls, (seeking to have them return them to a voting status). In basic liberals WANT people, especially those who support them, to be able to vote even if they are; 1. Illegally in the Country, 2. To be able to vote more than once and 3. Even if they are a felon.

Kind of makes you wonder WHY these groups of people support Democrats, well…….maybe not. It should make you wonder about a party that enjoys such support however.

Ed Kilgore of Salon writes about how the GOP is trying to keep, mostly minorities and the poor, from the polls. Truth is no one is trying to stop people, legal citizens, from voting. They simply want to identify those who are voting and make sure they are only voting once. Make sure they are actually alive when their vote is cast, make sure there are actually the correct number of voters in the town, not twice the number of voters as opposed to registered voters on the rolls.

The truth is that Holder is a corrupt, and that is not too strong a word, as well as a fully engaged partisan active pretending to be an Attorney General. I say that it is far past time that Holder and his constant contempt for America and true legal proceedings be kicked out of DC and stop insulting not only the American people but the Administration as well.

Holder is just another example of the total lack of experience and leadership that has ruined the credit, what little of it there was, in the Government of the United States. It’s time for this to stop.

At least that’s what we should be calling the so-called Buffett Bill. You simply must face facts and the facts are this; 1. Buffett is a liar and a hypocrite. If he wanted to pay more taxes we all know all he has to do is write a check to the Government, which we all know they aren’t going to turn down. 2. When he claims he is paying less in taxes than his secretary. First off I’m sure his secretary makes more than half the workers in America and second she is paying income taxes, while Buffett is paying Capital Gains Tax which is like comparing apples and rhinestone. 3. Taxing Capital Gains, (which is a double tax to begin with), which discourages investment, which fuels funding for expansion, which is the reason to hire more employees.

I just don’t understand how anyone can deny the simple fact that you can’t spend money the Government takes from you. Only the Government gets to count the same dollar twice, or more. And that is what happens when the Government takes a large part of your investment capital away from you in taxes.

Herman Cain comes as close to a real change in the tax code than any one running for President. I’ve heard questions about how it might not provide sufficient revenue for the Government to spend what it needs/wants too. But that’s the whole point, starve the beast and get the Government out of everyday life of average Americans.

Still trying not to sound like a nut case, (and failing), was Al Boring, (Al Gore), on a global conference on what ever they are calling it these days, seems they keep switching back and forth between global warming and climate change. Anywho, Gore spent a lot of time it seems talking about the rain, the drought and the Hurricanes being caused by “climate change”.

This is the same guy who tells us when you point out that last year was the coldest winter in generations, explains that you are confusing weather with climate. Then he turns around and does the same exact thing. Is this guy a basket case or what? So, if I understand this BS correctly, if we have a bad season, pick one, it is caused by humans BUT if a season trends the opposite it is simply weather or some other anomaly. It is simply amazing that this guy gets any attention except from maybe guys in white lab coats with butterfly nets.

Speaking of insane, Harrisburg, PA is playing with the idea of changing how the Electoral Voting in the Sate works. The idea is to award votes by congressional district. I’d love to see that in MD since the majority of districts are red but we always because of population, always ends up a blue State. Interesting enough this would apply by and large in most States in the Country. No you say? Check out the red/blue voting map for the last couple of elections for President, excluding the last on which certainly went to the left.

Of course the real goal is to in the end , get rid of the Electoral College. But the truth of the matter is the college has almost always been with the popular vote. So it really is nothing more than a hangover that the Democrats are still feeling from the 2000 election which they mistakenly feel Gore won.

I actually spent time working out the EC Votes by percentage, i.e. 60% of the vote wins 60% of the EC and the other 40% goes to the loser, and found that even that way both of those elections turned out the same way. Of course the real reason the Democrats want the EC to be gone is they believe, mistakenly, that they would win the big house more often. The reality is the EC protects the Country from the , what I call cord wood vote. This is too many people living up each others butts, i.e. the cities and surrounding area, who are in dire need of lots of Government services as opposed to those of us who need very little Government in our lives, but they expect us to help pay for their needs.

Note to Democrats, this is the reason why the EC was put in place. To prevent this sort of “mobocracy” from taking over the entire Country. You already screwed up the Republic enough with the 17th Amendment, we have to draw the line here and make sure you can’t destroy the Republic any more than you are already doing with your unconstitutional garbage.

It comes as no surprise to me that the President has produced his “new” jobs bill and it turns out to be a re-hash of the same old tired worn out, failed ideas he has been trying to sell us for the last 3 years.

More and higher taxes, all of which it should come as no surprise to any one don’t kick in until Jan. 2013. Which of course is after the election and he hopes he is safely back in office for the next 4 years. Hopefully, that will not happen, but in either case, this nonsense wouldn’t pass when the Dems held all the cards. I don’t see how it passes now.

The heaviest anchor to his bill is how he is paying for it. First, even if he won’t admit it we all would be paying more in taxes because he wants all of Bush’s tax breaks to go away. Combine that with the removal of many so-called loopholes, we all end up paying more. But he will focus on the over $200,000 group of wage earners. His so-called “balanced approach” is nothing of the sort.

The top rate would return to 36%. I actually think that the present rate of 35% is pretty obscene. No American should have to give the Government more money than is expected to give the Church. Right now 47% of Americans pay no income tax so they give the Government less than they do the Church, but everyone else is stuck.

BTW, cutting any amount of Trillion of dollars spread out over 10 years, which everyone’s plan is supposed to do, really isn’t doing a lot of repair to the debt problem. Even if we never borrowed another dime, at that rate of repayment we’d never pay off the debt because of the rate of interest and how fast it increase the amount we owe. I’m afraid that we long ago passed the point of ever being debt free. Of ever being able to totally paying this debt off.

Also predictable is the left crying about the right trying to suppress the minority vote to tilt the election in their favor. John Lewis, from the NYT, surprise!, writes that a Poll tax by any other name. To Mr. Lewis it is a restriction to voting having to identify yourself legally. He whines that as many, (no proof is offered of course), as 25% of Afro-Americans lack the proper identification to vote.

Hey John, the ID is free, let them get one. Let them take some personal responsibility in their life if they want to vote. The phony claim that there is no voter fraud that should prompt such a requirement. That is rubbish, I recall numerous things, the new Black Panthers in PA is one example. This Administration refused to look into the intimidation of voters despite the visual evidence.

You can’t prove a negative but all over many States illegals aren’t asked to prove they are qualified to vote. I recall a town in IL, if memory serves, that had more Democratic votes than resident voters in the town. Just because neither Party is interested in investigating wide-spread fraud because it benefits their reelection doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Besides I have to provide identification if I am walking down the street if asked by Law Enforcement. I have to provide identification to use a credit card at times because I won’t sign the back of mine. If I have to identify myself in simple everyday life, wouldn’t you have to prove you are who you are supposed to be for something as important as voting for a representative or the President?

There are so many problems with registration, voting and fraud in elections I often questions results, especially in local elections. But let’s look at national elections.

Early voting; Talk about an incumbents dream. You send in a vote before election day and if something turns up later that would make you change your mind, that should be too bad. Any individual who votes early in my opinion is foolish. But the bigger problem is people voting early is they do and then show up at the polls to vote again.

Lewis, if you didn’t know is a Congressman from GA, gaining many votes I am sure, from the scores of illegals in GA. Many times write in ballots, even those who are serving our Country, are never counted and worse have been tried to be called not qualified. Mostly by the left I might add. Understandable since most of the Military leans right, but it is still inexcusable.

But for any and all of our problems, this is still the greatest Country in the world. We just have to keep it that way by not continuing to move it further to the left.

Of all the important events that have occurred in the short history of our Country, this is an event that should remain burned deeply in our memory.

I have no words and will allow these few photograph’s to do the talking for me. The crime here is that these pictures are not shown on the front page of every newspaper, on every magazine, on every news program at least once a week to remind some people what that day was like.

For a few short days, we truly were all Americans, joined together in outrage and pride in Country. Today people like E.J. Dionne contest we should all forget about it after this and “move on”. The left remains as clueless as they always have.

But this is about honoring those who were there both pre and post attack. God be with all.

Dedicated to all those who lost loved ones in this horrific event. And to those men and women who continue to face the trials of war to ensure our freedom and hunt down those who destroy that life we have built. May the Kiss of God touch your faces and know you are in the prayers of most Americans and our hearts and soul go out to each and every one of you.

with respects,

The so-called adult in the room, the leader of the free world..etc, just pulled a 5th grader prank. As anyone who has a newspaper, a radio or a computer knows month’s ago a GOP debate was planned for September the 7th. Now in his intelligent always reasoning mind the President comes a long and wants to call a joint session of Congress on, wait for it…..September the 7th.

What is this guy, like 10? How childish and petty can a person be? I mean please, don’t tell me that the largest White House Staff in history someone didn’t know this was a conflict. “Hey, I have an idea. I’ll give my 200th speech on my focus on jobs, rehash the same old spend more money garbage and no one will pay attention to the debate.”

Much of the blame will of course will be heaped upon the GOP, which is obviously not even a close call. The adult in the room is even more childish than his own kids are. This is the “change” you voted for. That 53% that put this “man” in office we know has fallen to a woeful 42% support. It’s going to drop even more.

Jonathan Cohn over at the New Republic wants to once again convince you that the stimulus worked because it “created or saved” over 3 million jobs. John, here’s a clue for you, in fact here’s 2; 1. By his own measure it failed simply because he claimed that the unemployment rate would not top 8% with his stimulus. It’s been over 9 for almost a year. 2. The year Obama took office the unemployment rate was 7.3%. One year later 9.9% and that’s an increase 2.6%. The number of unemployed was 1.54 million today it is 14 million. Please tell me how a loss of 12.5 million adds up to a success. You can’t because it isn’t.

Labor Secretary Hilda Solis has placed a new policy in play for illegal aliens “to give migrant workers the full protections of U.S. workplace laws — regardless of their legal status“. This is beyond ridiculous on a number of levels not least of which is that a Secretary cannot by-pas Congress and create new laws. There is already laws on the books that say these people are illegal the only right they have is due process. In other words the ONLY right illegal aliens have is the right to be sent back to their Country of origin. It is far pass the time to end this foolishness.

Algore has tried to rear his ugly head on climate change, it’s replaced global warming as the new claim for it, basically says if you don’t believe him or that it is happening you might be a racist. Or more correctly be just like a racist. Thanks Algore, we really need the son of a known racist to make that comparison. This guy is not only a blithering idiot but at least the second biggest hypocrite on the planet. There are a few people fighting for number one, but that’s another post.

Here is a guy who leaves a carbon footprint of a small city all by his lonesome and tells us to not use fuel, heat or air conditioning. His garage is bigger than my house. I don’t understand why anyone listens to this moron. As long as I am here on this BTW, let me remind everyone that Algore’s “truth’s” and his 97 – 98% consensus is mostly headed up by scientist, almost none of which are actually climatologist. The most acknowledged climatologist in their field do not concur with these findings. Since it IS their field, I’ll stick with them thanks.
