So Much In So Little Time

Just to give you an idea of how fast the price of gas has gone up, my last fill up was a couple of weeks ago.  I have driven 344 miles before this morning.  When I filled up gas was $1.99 a gallon.  Today it was $2.21.  The sure sign of summer isn’t the warmth or the tress filled with leaves, you know summer is here by how much the gas goes up in a day or two.

Seems the Pope is on-board with the Former Administration and wants ; “Standing in the cradle of Christianity, Pope Benedict XVI told Palestinians Wednesday he understood their suffering and offered his strongest and most symbolic public backing yet for an independent Palestinian state.”

Your Holiness, we already offered that and more than once.  It’s not a State they want so much as they want the State of Israel, not only to live on but to cease to be.

“Their legitimate aspirations for permanent homes, for an independent Palestinian state, remain unfilled,” he said.  Well of course they are Sir.  They break every peace treaty they sign and wonder why they get attacked in kind.  Please leave war and politics to those who deal in that realm.  How about doing something that should have been done years ago and kick out people that sponsor bills to promote abortion on demand of the Church?

I don’t mean to question the Pope’s authority, but please review the facts.  They put themselves in this position, let them find a way out.  Not blowing up targets in Israel might be a good start.

The Obama administration is asking Congress to extend its oversight of the financial system to include the shadowy market of derivatives, the kind of complex financial instruments that helped bring down the giant insurer AIG. How about firing the staff?  You didn’t have any trouble firing the CEO of GM.  More control, more power.  Remember these people cannot even police and control the members of Congress.  What in heavens name makes you believe they can control the Companies like AIG?”

“Key elements of that robust regulatory regime must include conservative capital requirements, business conduct standards…” This comes from the people who developed the Act that allowed people that couldn’t pay for a house to get a loan.  If you believe that we have a fix in the works, you obviously haven’t read how we got here in the first place.

The Official Policy of Double Standards is about to appoint a new Czar, (actually this is a joke), Wanda Sykes will be named to head up the Department.  They will be charged with making sure conservatives, such as Limbaugh, are not allowed to wish the the Presidents Socialist Plans fail, but Democrats are permitted to hope that Limbaugh has kidney failure and die.

Had Limbaugh said this about Sykes, he would not only be called a racist but more than likely been on suspension of his FCC Broadcasting License.  How about if I say since Wanda has such a vile mouth I hope it causes cancer and her tongue, lips and teeth all fall out.   Let the hate mail begin.

Now that modest estimates for this Administrations Socialized Medicine Plan is going to run around $1.5 Trillion, (bet on $3 Trillion), the Congress has to figure out how to pay for it.  Will they?  Maybe in part but bank it will cost more and do less, like everything the Government says it will do, and plan on higher taxes.

What you say?  You were promised a tax break not a tax increase?  You got you $13 now sit down and shut up, because here comes the real deal.  Cap & Trade is expected to pass in the next week or two according to Waxman.  Up goes gas prices, food prices, utilities and guess who gets most the money?  Drink soda, beer or munch on chips?  Yep, paying even more as the Government has determined that this is not something they like you doing.  So they are going to increase the taxes or create new taxes to cover those things, along with many more.
