Well, Well, Well

by

There is times when I find things so outside of real, normal thinking, that I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words.  When things become as political as things are today, (which strangely reminds me of the early Clinton years), it becomes hard to focus upon a single topic.  And when the position changes 180 degrees, it makes it even harder.

The AP reports that;  “Israel’s defense minister said Saturday he believes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will endorse the creation of a Palestinian state during his upcoming meeting with President Obama in Washington.” Well yes, we’ve been here for years.  The problem is that Hamas wants Israel gone, off the map, dead to a individual.  So tell me how you get from “I want everyone of you dead” to Let’s have 2 States?

The answer is you don’t.  While I believe Israel will accept a Palestinian State, the converse is not true.  What Israel mostly wants is for rockets NOT to be launched and kill their people.  A pretty reasonable request I think.  But recent history shows that Hamas is not so cooperative.  They have thus far failed to abide by ANY of the cease fire agreement’s made or any of the agreed upon conditions.

My thoughts remain the same.  If by force, should the need be move all of the Palestinians to a designated area and say this is your Country.  Your people are your problem, until they kill mine.  Then we will wipe you out as an invading foreign Country.  Say good night Gracie.

Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) asked Obama to implore Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.) against challenging New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in the Democratic primary next year. I don’t remember many Presidents getting involved in their own Party’s Primaries, but whatever.  I’m sure it isn’t all that different in the GOP, but this is what the people are up against.  It’s not the Candidate, it’s the party view.  So long as you vote party over Country, all of us are screwed.

Hundreds of pro-life activists from across the country are arriving by the busload at Notre Dame with one purpose in mind: to protest President Obama.  Just plain wrong.  I don’t think the President deserves a special degree before he does more than take over a few key essentials of our economy, like the housing market, the auto industry and soon the health care system, or sink us so low into debt that we quite possibly will never recover from.  Let him speak, respectfully disagree.  Show signs, t-shirts and whatever, but respect that he isn’t you or have your same views.

But the real protest shouldn’t come from outside groups.  The actual protest should come from students and Alumni who can vote with their wallets and feet.  These outside groups I look at the same way I look at Move On and Code Pink, and various other not so with reality groups.  Left or right has no corner on the market of stupid.  But they do have every Constitutional Right to be stupid, so long as they stay within the legal system.

Lastly, the President has elected to not release all of the documents on the interrogation tactics used by the CIA and Military, but refuses to release any photographs.  Since a witch hunt is in progress this means just one thing to me.  The unreleased documents show what the Ex VP claims and the photo’s back that up.

Just blame Bush is still alive and well in the “change” in Washington.

Good read Chas. Solution???? Israel has fought too long and too hard to secure their place in the world. They have always been the ones willing to negotiate…but they will never give in, or give up. And they should not.
With an Islamic policy of eliminating Israel, I fear there will always be conflicts there….until the end of days.

I think they should, with force if need be give them a place to live. Move every one of them. Then blow them to kingdom come when Hamas attacks again. And attack they will because they don’t want land, they want death.

And so we sit back and watch the drama unfold.

And watch as the Government takes over the Credit Card Companies with even new rules to further slow and hinder recovery.

    Good morning Chas,
Great read again. I think our new prez has a grave and possibly fatal view, of what his job is. That said, we are about to find out, aren’t we. Israel and Palestine? Not happening, of course. A noble effort, each time, but the evil that runs thru Hamas, will continue to make any resolution possible. Death to the infidel..that’s a pretty permanent “solution”, hum? It is their solution, and Israel is not their only target of course.
I am astonished the new admin would break all the “rules”, by attacking the last admin. This serves NO ONE at all, and the “real” bad guys, are still “on the hill”, hum? And making laws!!! YIKES! Oh well..and so it goes. Each day brings a new eye brow raising event, so we certainly are NOT bored!
The politics of “party” are not going away…the players may change, but until we get some statesmen in office, there is little hope for “real change”. Thanks again for your thoughtful observations of “the news of the day”. Gini

    Morning Chas
Israel just wants to live in peace, the Palestinian want to destroy Israel,
there is a problem there and I think that Benjamin Netanyau will be the best person to fix that problem.
I agree with why they wont release the documents, that will prove the claims that Cheney made are correct.

Sal, I don’t see a talking point to start with if “You must cease to be” is your end game. Until that is nolonger the position, there will be no peace.

Now Omedler is into State Politics getting people not to run against incumbents. Hope she gets beat by a Republican, but that will be a tough job as NYC votes in block for the Democrat regardless of who they are .

Presidents in the past have raised money and given support, I can’t recall one ever stepping this deep into a local race. Change, it’s all about change.
