Better Fake Than Never?

Last week a Muslim solider in the US Army struck down 42 individuals at Ft. Hood, Tx. 13 were killed the rest wounded. Let me repeat that it was LAST week that this happened.

President Bush and his wife, without camera’s, fanfare or reporters went to Ft Hood to console victims of this tragedy. President Obama was nowhere to be seen.

Yesterday however, with camera’s all focusing on the Service for the wounded and killed, the President had no problem jumping in front of the camera for the better photo-op.

It seems to me that the President was more concerned into coercing the House into passing his take over of the health care industry, than he was with the tragedy at Ft. Hood.

Health Scare:

The trip through the Senate doesn’t look as if it will be a cake walk either. This bill just got through and did so only after granting favors that won the last couple of votes.   This is not 90% of American’s wanting change my friends, this is a close call that the American’s do not want, but the Leadership of the House shoved off on the American people.

The Senate already has a number of problems and individual concerns to deride the bill and keep it off the floor. Sen. Ben Nelson is concerned about the abortion clause being removed. Sen. Lieberman and many other Democrats are totally against the Government Option and will vote against any bill that contains it.

The Dems in the House refused to listen to any of the GOP’s suggestions, I feel the Senate will be the same way. This means that any bill passed will be so watered down that it will never reach compromise in the joint process between the House and Senate. The GOP will take the flack for the bill, but it will in actuality be the Dems who feared more for their seats than they did about following their leader.

She’s Over And Dunn:

Anita Dunn, the White House Communication Director, who had a blood feud with the Fox News Corp. has stepped down from her position. The Administration is spinning this as something they knew would happen and she was always just temporary. Maybe like Van Jones was temporary.

I find it odd that this comes right after the Election flub. On the bright side it gained Fox News a 9% uptick in viewership. Maybe they should send her a box of chocolate.

Save The Best For Last:

Today is 11 November, a day set aside to honor and remember those who serve and have served in our Nation’s Uniformed Service. Those who stand on the wall and guard all of us from harm.

There is not a one of us that do not owe each and every one of them our love and respect for what they have and continue to do for our Nation.

God Bless you all.

Chas, great post again…President Ophoto-op should take a chapter from Bush #41’s book on leadership. A true leader is gauged by when he does when the cameras are OFF….
W only lives about 50 miles from there, so it isn’t too much of a stretch for him to visit. But then again one would think the CiNC would want to show his support as early as possible.

Well done, as usual my friend. Cyberspace has become a real problem for those in government who used to be able to hide from us all the things they were up to. But, now with blogs we are all exchanging ideas and are building a “force to be reckoned with” just as our Forefathers intended when they designed our country. It is hard having the truth in our faces all day, every day but as uncomfortable as it is to see so much of the world and it’s problems, it is giving us strength just knowing how many of us there are out here ready to slow the progress of the usurping of our freedom and to claw those already lost back.

I am happy to report the Quilts Of Valor will be supporting a huge number of our military with quilts. This will be a big nationwide effort.

Every tragedy carries a lesson with it if we will just be still and listen. When the student is ready–the teacher will appear.
And I am certain those who receive those quilts will be forever grateful for the love that goes into them and the memories that will stir.

    Good Morning Chas
President Bush was there with out any cameras around,
because he and his wife Laura are true Americans,
Obama did not use the words terrorist attack on our soil,
we all know its a horrible tragedy…… but it is what it is,
a terrorist attack on our soil….. from a terrorist,
and Thank you Chas…. for your service to our great country,
    Great post Chas.

I have never thought that most people think about the true meaning of Veteran’s Day…..I pray that more democrats in the senate really think before they vote…..I miss President Bush and First Lady, Laura….great blog!
Thank you Foxy. If there is no security or protection from the hoards, then there is no Constitution, freedom or life as we know it. It stands today because those brave people were willing to do what the majority of Americans are not, fight for what we have.

Prayers for the families of those who were killed last week. Horrible, horrible tragedy. The signs were there that something was terribly wrong. Hopefully something like this will never, ever happen again.
I hate to think it would ever happen again. Let’s get off the PC and avoid this type of incident from happening again.

Good Morning Chas. Happy Veterans Day!

It was interesting the Obama FINALLY went to Ft. Hood but like you pointed out not until AFTER he made sure that the Health Care passed. He loves being in front of the camera doesn’t he. People can say what they like about Bush but so often times he went to places where tragedy happened and most often times without the camera. Look at all too that Mrs. Bush did without cameras. I wish the Obama’s had invaded Hollywood and left the White House to those that loved and respected this great country.

Thank you Chas for your service and for all that you do to keep our Constitution at the front of everyone’s mind. Not just here, because I’m sure you speak of it in your everyday life, but you are a Great American.

I wouldn’t apply the word great to myself, but I think you for the kinds words. I was a very small part of what makes the greater whole, and there is nothing greater than our Service Members.
