Meanderings. 2-20-10

Did you know keeping Members of the House and Senate living in the style to which they have become WAY too accustomed will cost us about $4,656,000,000 for FY 2010?

Did you Know if the entire population of earth was reduced to exactly 100 people, 50% of the world’s currency would be held by 6 people.

The Mall in Washington, D.C. is 1.4 times larger than Vatican City.

The word “politics” describes the process so well: “Poli” in Latin meaning “many” and “tics” meaning “bloodsucking creatures.”

More Monopoly money is printed yearly than real money throughout the world. (Although the current Administration is trying very hard to fix that oversight).

In England, the Speaker of the House is not allowed to speak. (Shame it doesn’t apply here.)

But one should remember that the Constitution calls for the entire of DC not to exceed 10 mile square. Right now DC has expanded, without Constitutional authority, to 68 mile square.

    Chas,
    Good points.
Isn’t the Speaker the one who is always calling for Ooorder?
