Catching Up

by

Since real life infringed upon my desire and time to write a new blog I though I would cover a few different things.

I found it pretty funny the President Obama claimed that showing the pictures of bin Laden being killed was like spiking the football and not good for our troops.  Yet he spent the next 10 days getting flagged for excessive celebration in the end zone.  Just goes to show that ticking off the enemy wasn’t the reason for not showing the pictures.  The President did more damage by his chest beating than any picture would have ever done.

Have you filled up recently?  Gas this year is more than $1 higher than it was at this time last year.  Just how is that hope and change working for you?  I’m at the pump hoping that I can get some change when I fill up.  It is hard to bring into line the facts which seem to point that the President WANTS the price of gas to get so high to push his green agenda and punish the average American.  I have a tough time believing that any President would do something like this, but nothing is being done.  Drinking a pint, while something I would never condemn, just isn’t going to do much for the price of gas.

Speaking of not getting the job done, the Senate has yet to pass a budget.  Seems the Majority Leader feels a budget isn’t necessary.  Say what?  14 trillion in debt and we don’t need a budget?  This man is seriously whacked.

Have you also noticed how the Dems in Nov claimed that the big GOP win wasn’t a call to action against Obamacare, but let them win one special election in NY and that one is all about Obamacare.  Liberals, like the ever deluded EJ Dionne, claim that there is no popular mandate to trim spending, pay down the debt and get control over the Government.  He believes that everything is all different now, a “that this is their Pauline Kael moment”   A turn over of almost 50 seats means nothing, but one election changes the whole deal?  Like I said deluded.

Another close call to the end of the world missed last week.  Another not really reported miss was the polar ice cap failed to disappear, so the coastline is safe for now.  Steven Schneider, who for the past 30 years was one of the most prominent global warming alarmist, claimed the west Antarctic ice sheet could melt before the year 2000.  Mark Serreze, a researcher with the federally funded National Snow and Ice Data Center, frightened the masses in June 2008 by claiming there was a 50-50 chance the North Pole would be ice-free in the upcoming year. Peter Wadhams, head of the Polar Ocean Physics Group at England’s Cambridge University said, “People are expecting this [Arctic ice melt] to continue this year and it is likely to extend over the North Pole. It is quite likely that the North Pole will be exposed this summer – it’s not happened before.”  That was back in 2008.  Obviously he was also wrong.

But we don’t hear the media laughing at these idiot’s do we?  I wonder how long it will be before global warming is blamed for the heavy tornado season.

Hate the snow?  Hang on then because David Viner, a researcher at the University of East Anglia says; within just a few years, “children just aren’t going to know what snow is” and snowfall will be “a very rare and exciting event.”.  Of course we just experienced 2 of the heaviest snowfall years in history.  Another ooopppsss for the books.

I certainly don’t have all the answers.  Never claimed to, (but I did correctly pick the American Idol winner), but it doesn’t take much to figure out that making wild claims, doing nothing and simply spouting agenda driven rhetoric is not moving us in a very positive direction.  Time to stop this crap and get some real movement in a direction more suited to our Constitution and the founding principles of the Nation.
