Thought of the Day, 06/23/’11

The President’s Election payback Bill, sometimes laughingly called a stimulus has proven to be a bust, as predicted it would be.  It simply did not give a kick-start because it temporarily saved a few public service jobs

Earlier in the week the President said; “We went through the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, and immediately after being elected, I had to take a series of very difficult steps to rescue ourselves from the brink,”.  This is on its face dishonest to the extreme.  The worse we have been was in the late 70’s early 80’s with double-digit unemployment, inflation and almost double-digit inflation.

In the same speech the clueless President said; “I’m extraordinarily proud of the economic record that we were able to produce over the first two and a half years, but having said all that, the economy is still so tough for so many people around the country. The hole that was dug was so deep.”  Why would someone be proud of being ineffective to the extreme?  No one in this Administration seems to understand this outcome.

Even Bernanke seems to be clueless; “We don’t have a precise read on why this slower pace of growth is persisting,” The head of the Federal Reserve doesn’t have a read on this?  Hey chump how about the highest corporate tax rate in the World, or the strangling web of mass regulation in place by a dozen different Federal Agencies?

And as more of this healthscare bill becomes law it will get worse.
