Thought for the Day, 6/25/’11

Spin is one thing but derangement is something else.  Take Nancy Pelosi as an example.  She makes this claim; “All this talk about tax cuts. The – in the Bush years the Republicans said that tax cuts will produce jobs. They didn’t. They produced a deficit,”…

Did 4 yrs as Speaker of the House fry your brain or where you just born this way?  It seems to thinking people that the unemployment rate was around 5% while Bush was in office.  In fact it didn’t go up until Democrats took control of the House.

Although Dems love to cite the 8 terrible years under Bush, for 6 of those years the economy was one of the most robust in history, until, once again, the Dems took over the House and things quickly went to the crapper.

Let’s get one thing straight, Bush was no more conservative than Gore is, at least when it comes to spending.  And let’s dispel the myth that  the “two unpaid for wars” caused the deficit.  As costly as the war against terror is it cost a lot less than just about anything else in the budget.  It’s just a smoke screen by Dems and a left handed way to, once again, blame Bush.

Both Parties are to blame for this mess, mostly by means of pushing Fanny & Freddie into making loans that should never been made to people who never had a chance to continue making payments.  And as much as Dems would like to avoid the subject, they are the primary movers and shakers of such policies.
